A Haunting Noir Thriller by BBC Broadcasted Writer
The Whistling Sands - is a psychological NOIR thriller. It tells the story of FLYNN, who has recently come out of prison. Flynn is asked by local business man, MASON to go and bring back his wife NIA, who has run off to the Welsh Coast of Porthor (Whistling Sands), with her lover HAINES. Having no money and few options, Flynn Agrees. Flynn is a tortured soul, and is haunted by the darkness of his past, and his battle with alcoholism. When Flynn arrives at the village where Nia is staying he learns that Haines is dead. Nia needs money and claims Mason owes her. Flynn soon forms a relationship with Nia, and they become lovers. Flynn grows more obsessed with her by the day, and becomes convinced that Haines's ghost still haunts Nia, and Flynn grows jealous of the influence Haines still has over her. As the two lovers run out of money, Nia convinces Flynn to pay Mason a visit, this results in Mason's death, and as Flynn's paranoia intensifies things start to spiral out of control.
Alexendre is a true professional. Throughout the whole process his tireless energy and commitment to the task enabled me to keep shaping the requirements and progress to a fantastic end result. He has the ability to visualise designs creatively, yet keeping with the customers requirements. He also has an excellent sense and interpretation of narrative, which is essential for effective book cover design. I wholeheartedly recommend Alexandre's work, and I look forward to working with him in the near future.
